1. The Service

TruePen ("the Service") is an AI writing assistant that rewrites AI-generated English text to sound naturally human. The Service is operated by Sun Bai, an individual based in China ("we", "us"). By using TruePen, you agree to these terms.

2. Free Tier

The free tier allows up to 300 words of processing per day per IP address. We may adjust free-tier limits at any time. Abuse of the free tier (for example, circumventing rate limits) may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access.

3. Paid Subscriptions

Paid plans ("TruePen Pro") are billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate spam, phishing content, or deceptive communications;
• Produce academic work you intend to submit as your own where that violates your institution's policies;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape at abusive volumes, or disrupt the Service;
• Violate any applicable law.

TruePen is a writing-style assistant. We make no claim that rewritten text will evade any AI-detection system, and you should not rely on the Service for that purpose.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to text you submit. Text you submit is processed to produce the rewrite and is not stored after processing, except for transient operational logs. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The TruePen name, site design, and underlying software are our property. You may not copy, resell, or white-label the Service without written permission. API access, when offered, is governed by separate terms.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or any specific rewrite outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
